Takes the terrain off the map before its style is replaced. Called right before setStyle.
A terrain still on when the engine is asked for a style keeps it from diffing the two: it
rebuilds the incoming style from scratch, reloading every source (MapLibre before 6.10).
A terrain put on by the selection of its basemap: deactivateTerrain, camera included.
A terrain that follows the tilt: its listeners are detached FIRST — a style given by URL
leaves the outgoing one alive while it downloads, and a tilt would put the terrain back on
it —, then the terrain is cut. The camera is not touched, and the latch is kept:
syncTerrainToBasemap hands it to the incoming basemap, or drops it.
